I12's tripartite recombination involves breakage-fusion-bridge.

In Figure 5c, in the linearized plasmid on the left side of the figure, the segment labeled “ChrXIII” should be labeled “ChrXIII-L” and the segment labeled “ChrV” should be labeled “ChrV-L”. In the circularized plasmid on the right side of the figure, the segment labeled “ChrV-R” should be labeled as “ChrXIII-L”. In both cases the ChrXIII-L segment should be the color of the triplication region in Figure 5b, and not the color of the duplication region.
